Aerarium Populi Romani - Roman Republic Treasury

Collegium
(Administrative)

In republican Rome of antiquity the state treasury (aerarium) and its associated records were kept in the Temple of Saturn off of the forum at the foot of the Capitoline hill.

Here in the modern Roman Republic this Collegium acts as the virtual equivalent of the aerarium. Although the aerarium uses the infrastructure as a collegium, it is not regarded as such under Roman Republic law. Instead, the denarii deposited in this account is directly overseen by the Senate and managed by the magistrates of the Roman Republic.
