I. Magistra maxima
The group's founder, G. Cassia Longina, shall hold the position of magistra maxima for life after the completion of this group and will guide discussions, provide sources, and information to any who wish to ask or be a part of this collegium. Her role is to promote the group and deal with the administrative functions – such as organizing events, serving as leader in voting, serving as iudex when cases arise, etc. while also concerned with the direction of lessons and final translations in Latin.
The members may contact her at any time and are guaranteed a response. [Other leaders may be added with election or participation in the founding of this group.]
Registered Roman citizens shall be entitled to the votes for leadership positions. Each member will be entitled to 1 vote. The head positions of the group shall be allowed to cast a vote in order to break the tie if a tie-vote occurs. Voting in done in any matter that is fair with each citizen holding equal power in the vote. Electronic voting may be conducted online for 7 days - before the final announcement is made. This may be through email, Facebook, messages, or other means.
II. Other Positions
Leadership will be selected by a consultation of all certified members as vote holders and the magistra maxima. Any determination will be finalized with the majority vote of the authorized membership. The other offices of leadership in the collegium will consist of:
The magister(a) will be an experienced student with at least 3 years of Latin experience. They should be able to perform translations, readings, etc. with acceptable skill. They will work together with the magistra maxima according to the collegium’s purpose and provide help with translations, their own lessons, discussions, etc.
The scriba will conduct all secondary editing and checks for any translations. They should have at least 1 year of experience in Latin. They will perform all necessary actions, reports, and activity within the collegium at the direction of the magistra maxima and magistri.
The auctor will provide services to promote the collegium and also examine all contributions (articles, translations, writings, etc.) and report the activities of the group to the officers.
The office of iudex will only be utilized when cases emerge between members. The iudex will be presiding judge over any case.
Voting & Membership
The privilege of voting belongs to those belonging to the Republic and collegium.
The collegium is open to all members of the Republic.
If a problem arises between members, they are encouraged to work out the issue between themselves. If the members cannot reach an agreement, the entire group will attempt to work out an issue.
Members of the collegium must remain in good standing. A member may be removed by:
1. Engaging in actions that would be deemed offensive by other members
2. Resigning membership
3. The inability to contact the member
4. Posting inappropriate comments or topics
5. Harassing other members or disrespecting the ideas of others
Members of the collegium will be removed from membership after the second offense of violations of the below mediation conflict process by the majority vote of the Collegium membership;
All Denarii Transfers will be decided by the two-thirds majority vote of the Membership.
The collegium may be dissolved by a unanimous vote of the members.
These rules may be amended when needed by a three-quarters vote of the members of the collegium. 20 days notice must be given to all members prior to meeting.
Transfer of Denarii
Members of the collegium will fund the group (if applicable) wherein funds are needed for projects, games, etc.
If the dissolution of the group occurs, any remaining accounts will be transferred to the general reserves of the Roman Republic or to another cultural group as decided by the collegium's vote and final say of the officers and magistri.
Any use of the funds (used by the officers, magistri) will be approved of first by the members of the group by a three-quarters vote. Officers will declare their intention of using the funds and call a meeting and vote 3 days
