Who loves old books?

Postby Mania Aurelia Apollonia » Sat Jun 17, 2017 5:31 pm

I am a huge fan of antique books. The smell of the pages is intoxicating.

Here are some photos of the title pages of some Roman books I have. I know the history isn't as up to date as it is now, but they are still a good addition to my collection. Some are old library books that I was able to snag from my school, so they have been rebound into new covers.

I also have tons of other books, ranging from medicine, to electricity, to kabala.

Salve Apolloni

Wandering through used book stores is a favorite pastime, especially when I can find something on my wish-list. Although most of my Cicero are in 20th century Loeb editions, I did find one 19th century edition of 'Oratore'.

I went to an old bookshop today and was able to snag a couple new (old) books. A paperback copy of the Metamorphoses, which is good because I was reading it on my Kindle. I always prefer a physical book.

Here are today's finds.
