1st World Meeting of Roman Military Reenactors

We have a dream:

Reenactors from all over the world come together. You exchange ideas and have a good time together. Get to know new things, meet friends in the real world, not just via Facebook. You let quarrels rest and envy at home.

Our idea:

We have been organizing the large legion camp at the Roman Festival in Augusta Raurica for a few years. We always get a lot of requests from groups to participate. Unfortunately, we cannot consider all of them for different reasons.

That is of course a shame, we would very much like to open the whole thing much wider.

That is why we are striving for a new alternative, regardless of the official organizers. A large camp with all Roman military reenactors. Period from Republican to Late Roman.

No civil Roman groups, no traders.

The whole thing should take place independently of a museum event.

It should be a getting to know each other with an exchange across countries and language borders.

Our first ideas are in the direction of a camp that is as authentic as possible, with some fixed program blocks, but also enough free time for museum visits (e.g. Vindonissa), exchanging ideas and making friends.

We are only in a very early planning phase.

In order to plan our idea a little more specifically, we depend on your feedback and ideas.
