    Salvete Omnes,

    A meeting of the Comitia Tributa is formally called. This meeting is to begin March 20 and end April 4.

    The meeting shall occur here on the main forum: http://romanrepublic.org/roma/fora/forum/main-forum/

    The meeting shall be chaired by Praetor, Sp. Gallonius Catulus. Auspices shall be taken by him on behalf of Praetor Sp. Gallonius Catulus with the assistance of an augur of our Republic.

    Discussion shall run from March 20 to March 28. Voting shall run from March 29 to April 4.

    The agenda is the following;

    I. To elect two citizens to the remaining Quaestor offices which remain unfilled

    Any further items may be added to the agenda by a praetor or consul. To do so just respond to this message before March 20.

    I have been informed auspices for the 20th were negative. I now offer these revised days for the Comitia Tributa to meet, pending new favorable auspices.

    I, Octavius Marius Bestia, offer my candidacy for the position of Quaestor.

    I am currently serving the republic as Procurator of Scandia and Patron. I am very passionate about the Romanitas and our shared goals. I want to do what every roman who wishes to see the republic flourish should, and take action to better it and help other magistrates carry out their duties for the good of the republic. I have been a citizen for almost a year soon and I have participated actively in the republic, primarily on the discord server, as well as establishing the Roman Republic reddit community and Scandian Instagram page. In my civic life I have studied general project management and I have experience of writing agendas, leading groups and managing documentation. Putting my experience of the republic thus far and my real life experience together, I believe I will make a good candidate. However, I do not only offer you my words, but my promises of action. As Quaestor, I vow to diligently carry out my duties and use my office to help the republic to the fullest extent of my ability and aid the magistrates in furthering the goals of our shared republic in addition to pushing for projects and initiatives of my own. We must all together shoulder the weight of the republic, and I will do my absolute best to carry as much of that as I can. We must take action, rather than sit around hoping for others to do it for us

    I, Numerius Volumnius Iustus, hereby formally offer myself for consideration for election to the position of Quaestor.

    I have been a citizen and have offered myself for election previously.

    My work as a historical researcher requires me to have a working knowledge of Latin, which I hope would be useful in serving the Republic. I am particularly keen to see more communication in Latin (along with a suitable translation!)

    I have a hope that we can work together to increase our membership. In particular it is my wish that the benefits of citizenship can be promoted in those geographical areas which were part of the historical Republic – in particular my own native Britannia.

    One thing the current ‘lockdown’ has taught me is how important it is to stay connected in this new ‘Digital’ world. As Quaestor I wish to do whatever I can to ensure that all our Citizens from everywhere in the world feel an important part of our connected global community.
