More details coming soon.
An altar standing 40 inches high and 12 inches wide has been privately commissioned and will be donated to the Roman Republic. This structure represents the first physical structural manifestation of the objectives outlined in the Declaration of the Roman Republic (http://www.romanrepublic.org/wip/declaration.html). This altar shall be open to citizens of the Roman Republic and will be made of modern materials yet in all other respects be historically mindful.
The altar will be dedicated in a manner decided collectively by the Senate of the Roman Republic.
Opportunities to have your name added to the altar will exist. More details to follow shortly.

OPPORTUNITY TO SUPPORT THE FIRST ALTAR COMMISSIONED FOR THR ROMAN REPUBLIC
The altar described above is paid in full. It is now being made. However, in the ancient tradition an opportunity to support this altar financially is possible. Those who donate will have their Roman name added to the altar.
There will be four panels on the altar. Three will bear inscriptions regarding supporters. Two panels will bear the names of the two greatest supporters. The last will list the names of all supporters who donated over $25 USD to the project.
The total cost of the altar was $600.
If more than this amount is raised these excess funds will be donated to the Roman Republic treasury.
Donations will be accepted until December 10th.

Ave Brute Augur!
Where will this altar be build? At the site of the TEMPLVM project or in Canada or the US?
How are donations done? Through PayPal or our Denarii system?

If there is really a serious interest in donations, maybe it would be a good idea to answer related questions.November 16, 2017 at 9:08 pm #12057

This is a separate Roman Republic project. It will be built in Pacifica at the registered address of the corporate headquarters of our non-profit. So in Vancouver.
Donations can be arranged by both denarii and PayPal. Contact me by private message with what you are thinking of donating and arrangements can be made.
The altar has been commissioned and paid in full. I just heard back from the maker this morning. It is finished and being shipped today. Dedications and the names of donors for the altar will be added to the altar in the weeks ahead once it arrives.
Once I actually have the altar in my physical procession (probably within two weeks as it comes from Nova Gallia) I will post many more details.November 16, 2017 at 11:06 pm #12064
Good. This is probably the only thing of lasting importance which has occurred in our Republic this year.
It is nice to see a glimpse of the type of action that gave birth to this good organization. It appears alive and well in some cases. Very reassuring. Let us hope that this is the beginning of what 2018 will look like under new and inspired leadership.November 17, 2017 at 1:09 pm #12076
Quite a rash statement for someone who is both a Magistrate and a Senator.November 19, 2017 at 10:42 pm #12101
My thanks to Gaius Florius Lupus who has generously donated to the altar.
His name will be added to the altar for this honorable act is remembered.November 28, 2017 at 10:44 pm #12193
