Salvete! Basically I haven’t been able to do as much with the Cultus Deorum Romanorum, almost at all, for a while. Mostly this is due to my work hours- I work 6 days a week, and I’m usually up before the sun rises and home by the time it sets. Every so often I’m able to do something at my lararium, but it’s rare because and I keep getting discouraged, and then what I manage to get in is usually rushed. (It was a lot easier before winter.)
In the Roman Republic article “Conducting Ceremonies & Sacrifice,” it mentions that rites are usually held between sunrise and sunset- but sticking to this means I’m prohibiting myself from regular worship. If the only time I have available to be at my lararium is after work, would it still be considered superstitio to conduct rites then? Also my current job ends in mid-May and then I’ll have more time when I switch to a better gig.
I just don’t want my excuse to be “oh, I didn’t have time,” but in this case, it really is that I barely have any. :p Anyway, if anyone has any thoughts that’d be awesome.
