    Brutus Sacer sal.

Today I was due to conduct the ludi ceremony to Iupiter. This has been delayed because our public altar in Pacifica is covered in thick smoke from a wildfire. As you know, the west coast of North America has several of these fires at the moment. Β It’s not too healthy to breathe the air. The ceremony will take place as soon as the wind changes and before the ludi games are finished. Our public altar is in no danger.

Stay safe! Let me know if there is anything I can do to help. I’m in England but if it’s in my power to do so, I’ll do what I can!

May Iupiter guide you through these dark times. Stay safe!

    Salvete!

The Ludi Romani ceremony was just completed. There were some technical issues around its broadcast that were only realized halfway through the ceremony. Because of this, the live broadcast did not occur. But the underlying matter was discovered and should not be in issue in the future. The ceremony will be posted in full at the next opportunity (within the next 24hrs I hope).

This ceremony was very long as historically it included many deities, all which are included in our modern version. I only now could upload it. It was performed on Sept 19 the closing day of the Ludi Romani. It was performed on behalf of Consul Sex. Decius Mus.

A wooden votive of a bull was offered to Iupiter. There is a very detailed and long standing history from antiquity of such representative figures being offered to the gods.
