There was a delay in posting this as I wanted to get it up on youtube. This required some assistance as I am not a moderator of our official youtube account. Either way, here is the ceremony performed IV days ago for the Ludi Plebeii. I performed this ceremony as a sacerdos and Praetor of the Res Publica.
This was a ceremony dedicated to Iupiter as the patron of the Roman People and to Ceres as the patroness of the Plebeian Order on November 17. Private offerings of frankincense were made upon the conclusion of the ceremony by Gaius Aurelius Caesar, Gaius Octavius Flavus, Fausta Aurelia Valens, Appia Paccia Silvana, Servia Curia Gemina, and Numerius Anicius Praenestinus. A personal prayer inscribed in the historical manner on papyrus strips were offered by Gaius Aurelius Caesar and Servia Curia Gemina. These prayers were burned, and collectively the smoke rose to the heavens to be received by Iupiter and Ceres.
