I got real excited at work the other day: the view from the office let’s me see this Douglasfir that’s the tallest tree in the trees around the parking lot. (Sometimes I say hi to this tree when I get to my desk.) On Tuesday, a red-tail hawk was flying around and landed on the very top of the fir. It stayed there for a bit and then flew away. Was really inspiring to see it there and in flight, lotta hopeful feelings. Looked it up, apparently it’s an omen of either Mercury, Juno, or Magna Mater.
As far as other signs and stuff, I dunno, but there was a time when I couldn’t afford to put gas in my car, and I would drive away from work praying to the Gods not to run out of gas, and the needle always seemed to tick back up when I prayed. Which could also be me not knowing how my car works…
Every day we see visible signs from the Gods if only one is in the state of awareness to see them. Like a musician who can hear and distinguish the harmony within a piece of music, where 100 other people hear the same piece but cannot hear the individual lines of counterpoint.
Or a person glued to their phone who does not gaze up to the see Moon.
The Gods are ever present. For me, it was a point in my life that the quantity and power of coincidences and events started becoming so overwhelmingly great that I began to accept the power of the divine. Just because “Science” didn’t have explanations doesn’t mean magic and the power of Gods don’t exist. LAUDATE DEORUM
