Athens in December

Postby Decimus Claudius Aquilinus » Fri Dec 01, 2017 7:44 pm

Salvete,

I will fly to Athens in a few weeks for 4 days to visit the highlights and would love to get some tips. I am thinking about doing an excursion to Dephi and perhaps Corinth or Eleusis as well but Im not sure how realistic it is. Any advice? Of course, I take pictures of almost everything when it comes to interesting Roman ruins (to an extent Greek too) and items in a museum so that is one big limiting factor.

Salve Aquiline,

Sorry. I can’t give you any advice.
I went only once in Athens, just for an evening (our flight back was early on the morning). But I have a great memory of it. We went on the Acropolis and enjoyed the warm summer evening. There, a Greek couple asked us if we were interested in seing a ballet. They had 2 tickets for friends who couldn’t attend it… We had a great moment enjoying the Swan Lake under a starry sky in the Roman theater…

Have fun in Greece!

Vale,
Gallus
