Senatus Consultum – Establishment of Collegia and Provincial Activity Rewards

RATIFIED SENATE SESSION XIII – Aug 7, 2020

Temporary Operating Procedure

  1. Collegia and Provinces recognized by the Senate are to be eligible to receive Denarii rewards.
  2. Provinces are to receive denarii as a reward from the Consuls
  3. Collegia are to receive denarii as a reward from the Praetors. 
  4. If for whatever reason a denarii reward cannot be paid out by the magistrates, the Princeps Senatus or Comitia Curiata is to facilitate to rewarding of the required denarii.

Rewards

  1. The rewards to be granted are for the following;
    1. Organizing an official virtual live event attended by more than three citizens living at different addresses
      1. Amount = 3 denarii awarded to each attendee, 15 denarii awarded to one primary organizer of the event.
        1. Maximum one event rewarded per month per province/collegium 
      2. Eligibility = submitting a screen capture(s) showing all attendees simultaneously plus Roman names of all attendees 
    2. Organizing an official live in-person event attended by more than three citizens living at different addresses
      1. Amount = 5 denarii awarded to each attendee, 30 denarii awarded to one primary organizer of the event.
        1. Maximum one event rewarded per month per province/collegium
      2. Eligibility = submitting a photo of all who attended event. All photos are to be taken during the event held. Must also submit the Roman names of all attendees shown in photographs.
    3. The Collegium that is the most active for a calendar month
      1. Has the most total comments within its designated forum plus posts on its “page wall”.
      2. Amount =  10 denarii awarded to the top three contributors of the collegium with the most forum and wall posts for the month in question. These winners must also be members of the winning collegium. Praetores shall be responsible for determining the winner. 
    4. Fastest growing province
      1. Has accumulated the most new citizens over a calendar month.
      2. Amount = 30 denarii divided equally between all-new citizens who joined the winning province during the victorious month. 8 denarii to the governor of the winning province (if one assigned). Consuls will be responsible for determining the winner. 
      3. The governor of a province that wins this honor more than four months in a row shall be nominated to the Senate by the Consuls or Princeps Senatus for the Corona Provincialis as per LEX IUNIA-AURELIA: Establishment of awards for outstanding private and public citizens.
        1. This award may only be granted to a governor once for this reason.
    5. Most valuable Collegia leader
      1. Shall be nominated for the Corona Navalis as per LEX IUNIA-AURELIA: Establishment of awards for outstanding private and public citizens
        1. A citizen may only win the award once for this reason.
      2. Eligibility: The Collegium that won reward 3 (Collegium that is most active online for a calendar month) the most times in the proceeding calendar year.
      3. If a Collegium has a designated primary leader(s) these individuals are to be nominated during the first senate meeting of the year by the Consuls or Princeps Senatus.
  2. Once ratified this Senatus Consultum becomes active immediately and shall remain active until it expires on the kalends of January 2021.  It may be repealed or renewed by the Senate.
