About dates of citizenship. I prefer transfer date of citizenship from Nova Roma (or Res Publica Romana from Sweden, or Communitas Populi Romani) as enter of Romanitas. Many of you are Romans so long before launching this project.
What do you think?

I’m not sure that would work for "Citizenship Date" within the system, but I think you might have already made a viable suggestion in your post. What about a "Romanitas Date"? I don’t know if that would be too hard to program in the system, but I think that would best be answered by Brutus or Philo. It would show others that, even though we are a new organization, some of our members have been on the via Romana for a long while, and not just newbies experimenting with a new form of reconstruction. You are correct that a lot of us have been around a while. A Romanitas Date would not necessarily benefit one in seniority issues, e.g., officers of a sodalitas or collegium, but it would allow new citizens the opportunity to determine who might have better answer to a question or provide better experience on a particular topic or project. Of course, their would probably need to be some form of official verification or proof to legitimize the proposed date, otherwise, we would have many people with 40 years of "experience" on new citizen applications. This could be as simple as an email from the other org verifying the date, a posting of membership dates on the other org’s website (e.g., NR bio pages or SVR membership roster). It is an idea worthy of consideration.

Salvete Nerva et Triarii,
The membership management system is designed to enter automatically a "date of citizenship" when the censors click the "approve citizenship" button. We have some relatively advanced administrative tools which should make management of the Roman Republic very efficient. No one will be waiting months for citizenship approval…
Now within the admin system censores can edit citizenship dates to any date they want. So what you suggest is technically possible.
Triarii raises a good point. Date of citizenship would likely involve determining seniority within certain parts of our national community. People who commit to the Roman Republic early on should be rewarded with these privileges. Therefore, I suggest that previous citizenship dates in Nova Roma or elsewhere not supersede Roman Republic citizenship duration. Instead, I like the suggestion of making a note of past involvement in an organization dedicated to Romanitas. However, I don’t think we should name NR or RPR or any other group explicitly. Here in the Roman Republic, we are all citizens of the res publica. We are united as one Roman people. There is no role for a NR faction or RPR faction within the Roman Republic. Such factional thinking are legacies of the past, and have no part in the future. We must unite as one, despite our past experiences, interests, and beliefs. We are citizens of the Roman Republic first and foremost.
Now such comments regarding past involvement in Romanitas based organizations is easily entered by Censores within the civil service record. Also any user may write their own biography where they can put in whatever details they wish. The personal biography might be the best place for such information.
See the attached screenshot for an example.
Ultimately, I think this will need to be decided by our first elected magistrates and the senate. We should have such administrative bodies in place in a few weeks. But good to bring it up early, this is a very interesting suggestion!

Salvete Triarii et Brutii!
Its not about factions. Its about only dates, nothing else. Just I feel as a Roman citizen since 2011. If its true that you Brutus refused
offer by Caesar on the re-apply in Nova Roma so its the same. You wanted citizenship since 2001, not since 2014. Its the same.

Join to Nerva’s question, and want expand the topic of discussion.
Currently my citizenship in Nova Roma stopped by Dictator, since political disputes. My profile in Album Civium is deleted. So I haven’t proofs of "having roman citizenship’ in NR. My words can confirm Nerva – because he is a Censor what accept my application.
So first – What date i can ask to Romanitas data, if I haven’t proof more?
And second – What will happens if some "freak" will want to take own birth date as Romanitas data?February 24, 2016 at 12:40 pm #2951
Censors confirm citizenship, not quaestores. Quastores are co-treasurers.
About date. You certainly have email from censura. So that can be a tool.
I dont think that here will be some fraud or something like this in this matter.

Sorry for my mistake. Already fixed.February 24, 2016 at 12:57 pm #2953
Please dont apologize. You are my amice. You say that you fix it, but I really was not censor 😀
I really do not confirm your citizenship. It was not my competence.February 27, 2016 at 8:13 am #2966
Salvete omnes! Although my account in NR Inc was deleted (on my request) from Album Civium – I just found my letter of resignation still on the NR Inc web-site. It allows to restore the date when I joined the NR Inc. I think Sulla and Co didn’t bother to raze any notion of you on their web-site so try simple search throughout the NR Inc web-site – perhaps you will find something about you ) I made a screen-shot from my page.February 29, 2016 at 12:27 pm #3005
I fully support this idea. It is a clever move that goes into the right direction. It would somehow turn the Roman Republic into an umbrella for all other Roman organizations, since it decentralizes citizenship. By recognizing Romanitas instead of membership in an organization, it makes the Roman Republic into the global authority for the recognition of Roman identities.
This is a truly great idea!

How long does the approval of citizenship take?
I applied on the kalendae Martii, 1st of March. I am a little bit worried, since I did not receive a confirmation email of my application. Was my application received?
