Since I created the Discord last year for our use, it has taken over as the primary source of our communications. This is both a good thing and a bad thing. It allows us to have more immediate proactive discussion, but it also in a sense sidelined what made the Forum extremely important. Thought out, crafted, detailed thoughts on important issues. With this in mind I wish to use this thread here to give a place for our citizens to give me and the fellow Magistrate at large a thought out, crafted and detailed thought, thoughts, or ideas that we can use for the Forum specifically to help make it what it should be, which is a place for the professional discussion that must happen for our Republic to thrive. I will start the thread off with a few examples and the directions I believe it should go.
I believe heavily that the collegia are the future of our social system here in the Republic and it needs to be greatly expanded upon for the full social aspect of the Republic to become apparent. I believe the collegia need central leadership for each who is dedicated and willing to come up with events, ideas, competitions, etc to keep people interested and engaged in that specific collegia. This could and should be in my opinion just an ordinary citizen. The heart of this Republic is every volunteer who takes the time out of their day to do what they love and to help others experience what they love.
I believe that with the establishment of the Collegium Pontificum that we should focus on filling the Collegium with knowledgeable members, then focus on education and training the new generation of priests. All previous priests, yes myself included, should be reevaluated and if they cannot pass evaluation, removed. I know there is some up-cry over our current priesthood. This will be resolved by those who are selected to become a Pontiff, they are in my opinion the only ones worthy of choosing who is or is not a priest.
I believe that we should start to expand the Gens system, make it more rewarding. Currently you can “earn” Equestrian status but this as far as I’m aware, has never been done. I think Patrician and Equestrian status should be more than just a reward for being early or for paying so much. I think they should be used to set those apart who have contributed greatly to the Republic in some manner. Patricians have been raised in the past, both historically and within our Republic. I believe that members who are rewarded with Equestrian status should also have the chance to become a Patrician through merit. All founders would be given a more unique title and obviously retain their status as Patrician.
These are just a few of my ideas and are extremely basic, I highly encourage citizens to expand or change my ideas, debate them, etc. Whatever needs to be done to bring about fully fleshed ideas that I can then implement. Any good ideas given here will see them implemented and the original creator will be heavily rewarded with whatever I have in my power to reward. We must continue to push the Republic forward, I am willing to do so at any personal cost to myself. I fully believe in the Republic and our mission. It’s time to show the world who we are. Thank you all amici.

I agree with your point of view that our instantaneous communication through discord is a double sided sword. However, I urge all fellow citizens who are not on Discord yet to get it, or you will miss out on daily conversations with your fellow romans!
As for your proposals, I fully agree that the collegia need to be expanded and restored. Responsibility for managing them ought to be given to citizens who have already proved their dedication and have shown they are willing to work to improve the republic, but of course also possess knowledge or an interest in the given focus of the individual collegia in addition to concrete ideas. As an example, I proposed earlier that the collegium provinciale could be headed by a council of procurators lead by a magistrate to act as a source of mutual support, inspiration and accountability. While on the subject of accountability, I believe that is an important part of our work moving forward, all romans, be they magistrates, priests, augurs, procurators, tribunes or any other title must be held accountable to fulfill the duties of their offices, to prevent stagnation and continually update the republic on their work. After all, one is not a magistrate to be a magistrate, but to carry out the expected duties of a magistrate.
Only a couple of magistrates are ever visible in the public sphere at all and they alone are responsible for keeping the republic going, this means whenever they are indisposed there is no one present to carry the standard in their place in the meantime and public discourse falls silent. This cannot continue, or we will see the ebbs and flows of activity continue as they have whenever the group of magistrates actively leading the republic are busy elsewhere. Frankly, more magistrates must help in the daily maintenance of the republic and actively support citizens in their projects and aspirations. All magistrates must share the responsibility of leadership, and that means being present, participating in discussions, checking in, asking questions and sacrificing time to make sure everything is running smoothly. Do your duty!
I believe the development of the gens is also a good idea and can serve as a good motivation for going a little bit further and putting in some extra effort as a citizen. Historically, the equestrian promotion was a good tool for motivating romans to excel in their duty, and I believe it is a great idea to use it like that today as well.
I would like to end on a good note, and commend the magistrates and ordinary Romans who dedicate their time to the betterment of the republic. You are all examples for us to follow!
