Salvete Omnes!
As quaestor and rogator I have the honor and privilege of having ratified the will of the Roman people within this respublica.
The results of the vote are as follows;
– XXIII of XXX centuries responded
OPTION I (Continuing past magisterial terms from 2021 with comprehensive reform) – Supported by V centuries (22%)
OPTION II (Merger of the Roman Republic with Nova Roma) – Supported by XIII centuries (57%)
OPTION III (Preservation of the Republic as it currently exists and to hold new elections) – Supported by IV centuries (17%)
OPTION IV (Reconstitution of the Comitia Curiata with major reforms initiated) – Supported by I century (4%)
Therefore, the Respublica Romana has decided to unite the Roman people under Nova Roma if the following conditions are met:
To seek a merger of the assets of the Roman Republic (RRCG Inc.) with Nova Roma Inc. on the condition that (1) all RR citizens automatically become full NR citizens (2) All past RR magistrates are recognized in NR as past Roman magistrates holding their respective offices and titles on an equivalent basis (3) Those who assist in the merger from both RR and NR are recognized and honoured publicly by the unified organization for uniting the modern Roman people.
This is the end of my report. It was a pleasure to serve in this role. Thank you to acting Consul Ti. Terentius Varro for his help and overseeing this assembly of the Comitia Centuriata.
Valete

I am glad that this vote, which interests us all, has ended. I would also like to ask, if it is not difficult, to write down the number of people who voted for each of the options. Not a century.March 31, 2022 at 3:48 pm #42487Salvete,
I hereby declare this session of the Comitia Centuriata closed.
I ask the these citizens listed to join me in immediately opening negotiations with Nova Roma to initiate the will of the people as described.
- LUCIUS AURELIUS CURIO – he has experience in successfully negotiating with NR in 2017 when RR Consul
- PUBLIUS IUNIUS BRUTUS – A long standing citizen in both organizations and former magistrate in both, and former RR Consul.
- AULUS IULIUS CAESAR – A fierce supporter of the Roman Republic and defender of it’s citizens, former RR Consul.
March 31, 2022 at 6:22 pm #42488Yes, it would be great to hear the specific number of people who voted in general and the number of people who voted for specific items.
Tiberius Terentius Varro, tell me, why is there not a single citizen from Sarmatia in the negotiating group? Isn’t it logical to include a representative of the largest community of people in this republic? Or are you doing this on purpose to cause more tension and dissatisfaction with what is happening?
It’s just that the logic of selecting some people into this group is a little surprising, for example, Lucius Aurelius Curio, who appears sporadically for several years, does not take an active part in the life of the republic.
LUCIUS AURELIUS CURIO – he has experience in successfully negotiating with NR in 2017 when RR Consul
And what was the benefit or positive effect of these negotiations for the citizens and the republic? Remind me, wasn’t the outcome of those negotiations the declaration of friendship that turned out to be inoperative, and P. Iunius Brutus and М. Flavius Celsus were punished in Nova Roma in circumvention of this declaration?
In addition, it is strange to send a person who has not even paid taxes in this republic to negotiations that decide the fate of the republic.
March 31, 2022 at 9:39 pm #42489Salve Varro!
You know what? I’ve voted for the merger! I would have preferred another solution to save the RR but I’ve voted for the merger because all the other options gave the reins of power to those major magistrates who failed in 2021. Those 2021 major magistrates who are in my opinion responsible of the RR current situation. And now, you declare yourself, an inactive Lictor and an inactive 2021 major Magistrate representatives of the RR to NR. Are you serious?
April 2, 2022 at 12:18 am #42490SALVETE,
I would also like to invite Paul. Aemilius Gallus to the negotiating committee. His view point would be very welcome and add much value.
April 2, 2022 at 10:06 am #42491It is worth noting that I do not propose to include in the negotiating group as a representative of the Sarmatian community one of the senior magistrates of 2021. There are more than forty Sarmatians in the Republic, the vast majority paid taxes.
I have never been a magistrate, and I have not been involved in politics, I am engaged in production and trade in Sarmatia, naturally, as an ordinary citizen and taxpayer, I want a representative of our province to participate in negotiations, and the point of view, for example, in terms of production and marketing, be presented.
I do not remember that collective responsibility would be introduced in our republic. Therefore, if someone does not like Severus or Celsus, then this is no reason to ignore other people in our province or rest of whole province, in which the vast majority of people have never been magistrates and have not been involved in politics.
Therefore, I ask you directly Varro, include someone from our province (an active taxpayer) in the negotiating team.
April 2, 2022 at 12:23 pm #42492As a citizen of the Republic and Sarmatia, I would like to support the proposal of T. Flavius to T. Terentius, and I hope that he will consider it with great attention.
We would be glad if that were the case. Because it is important for us to participate in such an important event for our Republican society, I would even say epoch-making!
April 2, 2022 at 2:49 pm #42493I would like to point out that our organization is going to have to go through many changes, and you cannot just put “good people” on the list of negotiators.
I propose to select specialists, without reference to personal sympathies. In the current situation, I consider it necessary that among the negotiators there should be:
– Representative of “Roman Republic” Corporation
– A technical specialist who understands the infrastructure and technical support of the republic
– Representative of a religious branch
– Representative who understands our legal system (Magistrates, Senators)
– Representative of the development of local communities (Issues of provinces, governors)
– Representative of the reconstruction branch
Each of these specialists should provide analysis-comparisons of the current systems existing in NR and RR, and evaluate the problems of integrating our current system into the existing NR system.
Point out inconsistencies and pitfalls. This document will be foundation for discussion by both parties in order to identify existing issues and discuss them in substance. This can significantly speed up our unification, and certainly solve problematic issues.
Personally my opinion:
Corporate Represented – Publius Iunius Brutus – his main goal to provide corporate law decision about resources of Republic.
Technical Specialist – Aulus Iulius Caesar or Marcus Flavius Celsus – his main goal to propose technical decision to propose our site and investigate possibility to move on our current web site
Religious Specialist – Tiberius Terentius Varro or Quintus Vergilius Crassus – his main goal to include our existing priest and statuses in NR religious system.
Law Specialist – Titus Flavius Severus or Publius Iunius Brutus or Paulus Aemilius Gallus or another experienced Senator– his main goal introduce our ranks and Cursus Honorum possibility meet requirements of NR.
Local Community Specialist – Titus Flavius Severus or another experienced governor – Investigate local issues – provinces difference, governors issue, and way to solve issues ( because we have this issue right now)
History Reenactor Specialist – Titus Flavius Nerva or Sectius Sergius Finitor – discussing the legion structure, including our merchants in the NR system
Thus, we will be able to give an adequate assessment of current resources, and observe the interests of all our citizens.
